Pedagogy

Edward Talkies
Edward Theatre was founded in the 1880s, and metamorphosed as La Scala, Great Eastern and Kohinoor Cinema through the early 20th century, and finally got converted to a "Talkies" in the 1930s. Still standing, its gothic facade remains a stopping feature on the busy Kalbadevi Road in Bombay.

Within the contemporary practices of cultural production and discourses, increasingly pedagogy is being considered and shaped as a cultural action than a programme to transmit knowledge and skill. Project Cinema City too had developed its own pedagogical initiatives along with its agenda of research, art making and archiving. The pedagogical initiatives were sometimes designed around the contours of the neighbourhoods and at other times as an extension to institutional curriculum.
