Set in Manipur, a battle-fatigued region on the India-Burma border, the film journeys across a century to paint a portrait of a cinema and its citizens in a particular land away from the metropolitan culture. The film centers around shooting, post-production and release of the 2010 Manipuri movie - 21st Century’s Kunti.
Fried Fish, Chicken Soup and a Premiere Show was awarded National Film Award for best documentary on culture, 2012; International Jury Award, MIFF - Mumbai International Documentary Film Festival 2012 and Best Long Documentary at SIGNS documentary film festival, Kochi, 2012.
